[1] I have to concur with regard to the instability last night and today. The game has been incredibly unreliable; I've had around half a dozen node-drop CTD style things in the middle of conversations ... funnily enough I didn't suspect my chat partners of doing it on purpose ... love and peace JF Public Forum |

Of course I would refute the suggestion that Eve alliance politics and public relations statements are out of game events. After all, what gets said on these forums and on the web-sites serving the eve community will influence the desires and expectations of players within the game. Losing a war? You need more recruits, more allies, more equipment and more organisation. Sure you can bombard the in-game recruitment channel till your fingers drop off; but why not short-circuit the issue and mass market your conflict to the benefit of allies and the viewing public alike? The game includes the forums. Deny it as you will, but to be honest, that leaves you more or less in the same boat as the poor saps who dream of eco-simulation without PvP. Eve is what it is. [5] no offense taken m'dear Nirvy, and thanks for the clarification. I am a little sensitive on the out of game thing because I think a few folks didn't understand where my competitive instincts ended during the venal war. Alls fair in love and war in the game universe, but we gotta have some respect for each other outside the simulated conflict ... after all, we are spending a fair bit of time in the same consensual reality ... how many geezers on the street know the performance differential in medium range hybrid ammo types eh? ;) JF Public Forum |
